I didn’t set out to become visible. My work began by listening.
My background is rooted in qualitative research- designing conversations, moderating discussions, and uncovering the patterns behind what people think, feel, and actually do. Early in my career, I worked behind the scenes: hosting events, gathering insights, shaping agendas, and helping leaders understand their audiences more deeply.
Over time, that work evolved. I began moderating panels, leading live interviews, and guiding conversations designed to surface meaningful insight- not just fill time. I learned how the right questions change the energy in a room and reveal what people truly need.
Eventually, I stepped onto the stage myself.
My first talk, Networking for Introverts, filled the room and generated client inquiries without a pitch. It went on to tour across the U.S. and internationally, and later became the foundation for my book, Confident Introvert.
Today, my work still draws on those research roots- helping leaders translate real human insight into clear messaging, confident visibility, and meaningful connection.
But first—who am I?
I’m Stephanie Thoma- private advisor and speaker for thoughtful leaders, and the creator of the Connect With Confidence framework.
What that early experience taught me is that effective speaking and leadership aren’t about performance. They’re about internal steadiness, knowing how to connect without over-performing, how to speak without abandoning yourself, and how to choose visibility that actually serves you.
That understanding is what shapes my work today.
Through private advisory work, I support emerging and established leaders who are navigating speaking, visibility, and influence, and want to do so with discernment rather than force.
My work often includes:
Clarifying a signature message that positions you clearly and credibly
Shaping talks and narratives that feel grounded, persuasive, and aligned
Staying calm and present under pressure, especially in high-stakes rooms
Making intentional visibility choices across platforms like LinkedIn and beyond
This is not about becoming louder or more polished.
It’s about leading with confidence that doesn’t require you to mask yourself.
If you’re looking for quick confidence tips, this likely isn’t the right fit.
If you’re looking for grounded partnership, it may be.
You’re in the right place if:
You’re capable and thoughtful, but tired of over-performing
You want clarity and steadiness more than hype or motivation
You’re navigating visibility or leadership decisions that feel heavier than they should
You value discernment, pacing, and depth
So, what’s next?
If this resonates, the next step is a private conversation.
I work with a small number of clients through long-term advisory relationships focused on visibility, speaking, and leadership. These conversations are a space to understand what you’re navigating and decide whether working together makes sense.
This is simply a space for honest conversation, clear thinking and deciding what your best next step is, without pressure.
